Bravos Begins in Dubai: A Different Kind of Kick-Off
What if employee engagement wasn’t something you solved alone…
but something you worked on together?
That’s exactly how Bravos started in Dubai.
On a May morning in Media City, a curated group of leaders, jurors, coaches, and early believers came together at Omnicom Media Group for the very first Bravos Lab. No big stage. No long presentations. Just the right people in the room, ready to exchange, challenge, and learn.
Facilitated by Joe Sejean and Yves Vekemans, the session set the tone for what Bravos is really about:
real conversations, real cases, and a shared ambition to do better.
Not Another Award. A Working Community.
Bravos was originally created in Belgium as an Employee Engagement Award.
But very quickly, something became clear:
The real value wasn’t in the final night.
It was in everything that happened before.
The discussions.
The feedback.
The honesty between peers facing the same challenges.
That insight shaped what Bravos is becoming in Dubai:
A community where leaders don’t just showcase success — they work through reality together.
How the Journey Works
Bravos is built as a journey, not a one-off event.
Over several months, companies bring forward real employee engagement cases.
Not polished stories. Not marketing slides.
But actual challenges they are working through.
During the Labs different perspectives come together from experienced leaders to next-gen voices
This creates something rare: a space where learning is immediate, practical, and grounded in reality.
What Participants Actually Gain
Beyond visibility or recognition, the real value sits elsewhere:
Clarity on what works (and what doesn’t) in employee engagement
Access to a trusted circle of experts and peers
Feedback that you won’t get inside your own organisation
Momentum to move ideas into action faster
And yes—there is still a final moment where the strongest cases are recognised.
But by then, the real work has already been done.
Why This Matters Now (Especially in the UAE)
Many organisations want to improve employee engagement.
Few have the space to truly work on it.
Internal discussions often stay internal.
External events stay too high-level.
Bravos sits in between.
It creates a working environment for leaders—especially relevant for SMEs—who want to:
learn faster
test ideas
and connect with others facing the same reality
This Was Just the Start
That first Lab in May was not about scale.
It was about setting the standard.
The right room.
The right energy.
The beginning of a community that learns by doing.
If you’re working on employee engagement—and you’re open to sharing, learning, and being challenged—you’ll feel at home here.
